"As a 2025 Bryant Searcy Scholarship recipient, winning this scholarship is an incredible honor. Mr. Searcy was a leader, a hard worker, and a community advocate who deeply resonated with my own aspirations and goals. His commitment to lift up others inspires me as a student pursuing a career in Mechanical Engineering, where I hope to encourage more young minority women to explore a career in the STEM field.
This scholarship reminds me of the positive impact I can make on this world and the lasting legacy that Mr. Bryant Searcy has left behind for me to grow. "Opportunity, Care, and Preparation. Three words I would use to describe the Bryant Searcy Scholarship Foundation.
Being the 2024 recipient of the scholarship fund, I was truly honored to be selected, but most importantly, to be acknowledged not just as a student but for who I am as an individual. With this scholarship, I was able to be $2,500 closer to closing the $20,000 gap I had for school and fulfill my newfound dream of a college education. This scholarship meant the world; I met many wonderful people, including the scholarship board members and Mrs. Sherry Searcy herself. They all welcomed me, made me feel accepted, and inspired me as a winner.
Overall, this scholarship has granted me and built the foundation of a debt-free college education and the inspiration to continue through college and finish successfully!"

"Being the inaugural scholarship recipient was not only an honor but a huge blessing and privilege. As I was going through my senior year, one of my biggest concerns was financial stability. Finding scholarships is a hard and long process and unfortunately I had little to none.
So when I was blessed to receive the Bryant Searcy scholarship, you can only imagine the love and joy I felt. This scholarship is one of the reasons I am able to continue my education at school and I am still to this day very honored to the first chosen recipient.
Sherry and the scholarship committee helped to contribute to my education, and I thank you all so much. I thank you for not only blessing my life but continuing to bless others with this amazing and sacred scholarship."
